Any updates from marine biologist/TPW about the extent/duration of brown tide?
My nephew is visiting with his two sons, and the youngest, who is 5, looked out at the water this morning and asked, "Daddy, why is the water brown?"

As everyone knows I'm NO biologist, but here is a little food for thought.
I can tell the difference between BT and dirty water
The development, Padre Isles, might take 2 or 3 years to clear up, there is no water flow and based on past history and observation. The Laguna and Baffin could clear up in 30 days or it could take alot longer. I don't belive there has been enough research done on the local BT to make any forecast. From what I have seen in the past the hard south/east winds help the Laguna Madre and Baffin, the winds causes some water movement which will move the ugly stuff north to CC Bay, I don't remember the BT living very long once it reached CC Bay.
A good tropical storm would be nice.
Wooops...almost forgot.
