Saturday was the best day for kings. I caught the larger King on Sunday before the weed decided to flood BHP. Bait was really hard to get on sunday....which was the opposite of saturday, once again Blue Runners were the go to Bait.

Also last thursday there was a 50 1/2" king landed at packery. With other multiple hook ups.

(BTW i was not part of the confederate flag crew).

nice kings man i went to try and get on the pier yesterday they said they would be closed till tonight at least...

i tried paddling through the breakers yesterday in my Tarpon 100 made it to about the end of bob hall and a big 5foot maybe 6foot wave knocked me over lol only lost a little gear(probably $60 of stuff)...

pretty sure someone called the coast guard cause the showed up in the chopper and turned around when they saw the yak on the beach....

The CG chopper was looking for the missing guy from Port A. Not the guy who flipped his yak in conditions he shouldn't have even tried in.

Yea, don't try it it the surf looks a bit too big.

Don't grow a set of balls or anything.

Forget about fishing unless the conditions are perfect and safe!

In fact, don't shark fish. I heard of a guy who got bit once.

i probably shouldn't have tried it..my buddy helped me get the yak on top of my wife's 4runner, my wife was watching the kiddo wasn't sure when the next time i would get the chance....so i went for it, almost made it too...thought i was home free till that big wave got me.. the T100 is a beast though i got air a few times and it was easy enough to get back into...

as far as the coast guard chopper goes i hope they weren't there for me, but it kind of seemed like it...

Think I found my limitation out in the desert while deployed. So I leave the combat fishing to those that are still looking for their limitation. No reason to create unnecessary stress. Thank God for USCG.

Nice Kings!

I was at the packery yesterday, if the chopper was looking for an individual in need ( be it the person who needed help or just someone attempting to imitate a turtle Wink), they weren't out there too long. Must have found whatever they were looking for pretty fast.

Also, about those kick-arse looking kings, I've never fished form them. How would one fish for them from the surf? I have a frenzy kayak and two 4/0, 9/0 penns, and enough spinning combos. Would a sideline work? Or is my best bet just going BTB?

Nice kingfish. I guess the rebels flying the flag call it Fort Bob Hall pier.
I'll bet a silver dollar one of them has been abducted by a ufo before.
