Was looking for some good wading locations around these areas, also was told the jetties at corpus christi bay was pretty good.and any one fish the back bay of nueces used to fish it as a kid and back then i think that speck record could have easly been taken from that back bay was wandering if it is still accessible to get back there by truck or is it strictly boat.

I'm not sure which jetties at CC bay you're talking about. Oso Bay is really soft bottom unless you are in a few spots. Nueces bay is accessible only by boat. The ranch road that leads to the back is private property. There are still big trout to be caught back there. As for Cayo and Laguna, I'm not real familiar with the area but I know there are big trout being caught by waders in Baffin.

The 1st two locations are in the back of Baffin Bay. If you go to Kings Inn Rest. and turn left at the gas station you'll find a small sign guiding you to Drum Point a popular place to bottom fish.
If you go to Rivera and turn east at the light there are a few locations to try. Go to the end of the road and there is a public pier, to the west of the pier is a good sand and grass bottom. To the Northeast of the pier you'll be fishing rocks......just keep following the shoreline there are rocks all over......Most people fish to the norh of Kratz's Bait Stand.
Most of the roads that turn to the south run into the bay and have good fishing at times. Salt Mine - Williamsons Boat Launch - Site 55 to name a few.
For rookies Kratz's is the easiest to locate structure and will give you your most consistant catches. This is particularly true for trout.

Tight lines........

I grew up down in that area. There are real good spots to fish down there. Find Site 55 and fish Williamsons boat works back to the west on that shoreline, very big trout to be caught back there along with reds.
A secret spot that most people wont tell you about is straight down, I think it is 772 there is a dead end by Kraatz's bait shop. Stop there and go to the left down the shoreline, I have caught numerous 27"+ trout there.
