On a fishing forum out of Louisiana that I frequently visit, they have a "Fishing trip hookup" section. This is just as it sounds where guys can post up times when they go out in the yaks or something. I don't live in the area but for the people who do, or frequent the area, this may be beneficial. And also just wanted to say thanks for the site in general. Its the only way I can keep my sanity while I'm not there fishing. Haha

I think it would be a good idea. Prime example, I would be floating in a little plastic boat this morning in the surf looking for tarpon and jacks, but I couldn't find a buddy. Now I will be sitting inside all morning. Embarassed

Yes I like this idea. I screwed my back up a couple of months ago launching my 21' Dargel myself becuase I couldn't find a fishing partner. It would also help when my buddies call me the evening before a trip and can't make it.

DAMN! The conditions were perfect for it today. Tomorrow may be good too. Surf was supposed to be a lil messy but I checked again today and it may lay down. Any takers?

Something like this works best on Twitter. Lets say a twitter account was opened for CF. Then you join.

A good example would be if you are going fishing and have one room for 1 more person, you send it to CF twitter and CF re twits out to everyone on the list.

If you include the who, what, where on your original twit then all of the people receiving it can judge if they can make it.

With Twits receivable on cel phones, this makes it almost instantaneous communications instead of relying on looking at the Cf forum.

i like the idea of having to check the forum vs twitter. Get CF the hits, more hits/month = more sponsors, and we need sponsors to keep the lights on and keep this valuable resource FREE.
