| I'm sure a lot of you can see and smell all the smoke. I was wondering if anyone knows where on PINS the grass fire is? The word is that they are letting it burn itself out, so I'm assuming it is close to the Laguna side but don't know how far down. |

| I have been smelling it at my office downtown all the way to the Bluff. I was curious where it was coming from. |

From the top of the JFK bridge, it looks like the fire may be south of Bird Island. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

We were out there yesterday afternoon about 3:00pm on our way to fish the north sticks. The fire looked like it started about at the entrance to the National Park and burned north to about 1/2 mile north of the turnoff to the north sticks. Stoped and talked to a fireman and he said it was about out by that time. They were using the Laguna Madre as a barier to stop the fire on one side. When we came back from the north sticks about 5:30pm it was all out. PS: Fishing was almost imposible with all the weeds comming in!!! _________________ Fishinjack |
