Had a bud bring his NIB Core by the house for a lil preventive lube...

Opened it up...

The drag washers...You can still see the fibers hanging off...

Can't tell yall how many I've ran across like this, when the person uses 'em right outta the box...

I always pre-lube my reels...

| Rob its Penn grease on the gears, Cal's on the drag and Reel Butter on the bearings...G |

I have penn grease for my gears and use speed-x for my bearings but will have to look into Cal's for the drag. I think all of my drags have been replaced once or twice with carbontex drags.
