"Well a young man
He ain't got nothin' in the world these days
I said a young man
Ain't got nothin' in the world these days
In the old days
When a young man was a strong man
All the people stepped back
When a young man walked by
You know nowadays
Well it's the old man's
Got all the money.........
And a young man..........
Ain't got.... NOTHIN'...... in the worfd these days....
"The Who, 16 May, 1970...""
Whatsup everyone??!! This song has been STUCK in my head the last two months....and I hope all ya'll fools are keeping your heads up, your ears open, and your drags locked down! After all, what's so different from normal? Other than the fact that while myself back in the day....and today's youth think they're SO different from their elders. Please!!!!! Time's haven't changed that much, and a young man still has those young man blues. I don't know a thing about a thing...but I @#$* SURE been there and time or two, and where I grew up....they pretty much didn't care, because spring was time to WORK after a cold hard winter, and high school classes be @#$#A# because it was time to get on those brown shrimp. And it was HARD to PLEASE go to class just to work towards a high school degree, because the shrimp were in! But here in corpus....I darn sure love this month. And I love "The Who-Young Man Blues" and I think every one of you nutty shark fisherman/kayak crazies better listen to it and heed....because this darn sure is a young man's game and a young man's blues...and if you're gonna cry the weed related blues, you better put in the work....After all this time, I know, that this isn't Schlitterbahn, and what draws me and some others to this type of fishing I have no idea!
And due to working my @#% off this month on mandatory extra time....I haven't been able to make my normal beach trip....so I made it thankfully to the Spring Fling Tournament. But before I could do that, I made it to Karaoke with my old lady. I started by my singing "I hate Everything" by George.
Meet the woman who has put up with the most B.S. of any woman I have ever known!
But you know, my BEST FRIENDS in Texas have been the distance casters.....over the years these guys have held me down....and vice versa........if you want a real friend........get started with the distance guys......these are real people with real personalities.....they work for a d!#%N living, and they know and understand a man struggling to make the bills for the month. This is my "Blue Yonder," built by David Womack, a personal friend that I trust with my life, and who/that built this reel from stock. He is a great man, and a great friend, and one day I hope that I can repay him. If you are interested in distance casting, contact him....or just contact me....both of us will help you.
My homeboy Jack.
And Will, national record holder.....and good friend.
And Carlos, my main man!!!!
Extreme blowup!!!
And after leaving the tournament, it became time to head home and get ready to fish, due to relatively flat seas!
Allright.
Yo Yo
This is beach and surf FISHIN!
And the smacks were running through in schools 100 deep and it was MAYHEM!!!
Allright
And it got hot out there...so I covered up!!
Does anyone know what this is? Look how long the pectorals are....
Oh yeah!
I was lonely...until a 6-7 foot brown shark swam around the yak!!!
And I don't care...you weren't there....some kinda !%#@ ray was at the surface and eyeballing me...and it was at least 6 feet across!! And I saw more turtles yet again....
Done!!!
Look, I'm not a bum, but after 5 miles of paddling, I'd had enough....
So I put the yak to better use!!

Whatsup bro, I'm trying to get this report typed and it's whooping my supple bum. The fish you saw has got to be a spanish Mack......they were just striaght up out there hundreds thick.....but Indians? Man....if I could ever get in from offshore, I might see some of 'em!!!! But anyways, your reports are awesome, forget the rest, you're hitting it hard! I'd love to be a fish on the run from your yak, I just might give ya a run for that money! _________________ Protect Padre at all costs for future generations to use and enjoy and never forget our freedoms aren't free.

Mark from Del Mar said he saw several flying fish yesterday at Bob Hall Pier and I thought that was pretty cool! Mahi from the surf would be nice! _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook!

Must have....I looked down and there it was. So small that it was hard to see. Pretty cool nevertheless. _________________ Protect Padre at all costs for future generations to use and enjoy and never forget our freedoms aren't free.
Nice kayakin condition's! my humming bird fish finder is junk also. But your right the smacs are every where, along with some bonito! we caught a 6'' flying fish in the cast net off bhp Saturday night, it looked like a mullet with big eyes and wings.
Good report bro.....Look fwd to seein ya back on the sand soon. Opted out and chose the boat this weekend which did not prevail very well with the exception of a dolphin show in the intracoastal....pretty cool. Try to post that tomorrow. _________________ TAKERS GET THE HONEY, GIVERS SING THE BLUES.... - ROBIN TROWER -
