Anyone know what's up with that boat abandoned across from Clem's? It's a nice looking boat. It looks like it was taking on water but I didn't see anyone come deal with it all weekend.

Saw that this morning when we launched, there were comments that someone grounded it and broke the transom. It was still there when we came back at noon. Pretty pricey boat to just walk away from.

Two guys were working on it around 1pm today. Came back by and they were all gone, but the boat is still there. It's sitting pretty low in the water.

Not sure what was going on with it. When we came in around 4:30-5 this afternoon tow boat pulled it from where it was grounded to a trailer in the clems ramp. I would like to hear the story behind that one.

I saw it Saturday afternoon, looked like a go fast boat with raised bucket seats, maybe black color on the bottom. I'd be interested in hearing that story too. I took the family out for the afternoon and there were still lots of tournament boats on the water and saw it on the way in.

I agree, it looked like they started taking on water and ran it as shallow as they could.

for the record I have nothing against "go fast" boats Very Happy

We were fishing in the scooter sunday parallel to the JFK and saw a dark colored boat passing cars on the freeway as it ran down the side channel between the humble and intracostal. ( my guess is he was doing 65+mph) Didnt seem like a very safe move in my mind. It wasnt exactly calm water and there was quite a bit of watercraft out. They made the turn and started to haul the mail down the intracostal heading towards the bay.
