i've recently aquired an Ocean Kayak Scrambler XT and was wanting to know some opinions on seats for it. I had been using a OK Frenzy that only had a back support. I used it only for running baits but plan on using the Scrambler for the bays, lakes and surf. I've seen a couple from OK at academy and bass pro, but neither looked like they do much for you.
thanks |

Check out the seats at Wind and Wave. They can probably put one on in a scrambler and let you see how it feels. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

I just bought the high back seat with rod holders from Wind & Wave for $130.......its very comfortable and fits my drifter pretty well. I have spent a whole day out in it and not complaints.

The Gone fishin seat, pretty sure what yak attack has...is one of the best in the buisness...wind and wave has them _________________

| do either of you use them in the surf? if so, does it matter what kind of seat you have in the surf? i've only been in the surf so far and it was only with the backsupport that comes on a frenzy. |

YA/AT: That seat looks comfortable enough, what I'd like to know is if there's an advantage to having rodholders built into the seat back vs the rod holders already built into the boat. Are they easier to access or is this a case of more is better? What about the model with the tackle storage in addition to the rod holders?
Just trying to get the best setup possible without overdoing things for once.
Greg: I emailed wind and wave yesterday and they said they would ship an order placed over the phone. Or I guess you could always pick it up for me! |

doug, i'll stop by there in a couple of weeks when i'm down there and check them all out. I didnt plan on taking the yak on this coming trip, but if it means testing a seat, i might talk myself into it.
i dont really care for the extra rod holders built into the seat. i saw an alternative rod holder on one of the pix kingz posted that i'm interested in. |

Any seat that is not the Surf to Summit GTS Expedition is an inferior product.
It offers the most leg support, most back support, and is the best I've ever used and won't wear you out after a long day on the water.

No, I don't use in the surf. I like the rod holders on the seat because they keep the reels high up above the water. My built in rod holders are angled and sometimes the reel can get splashed. I can reach the seat rod holders just fine while sitting. _________________ Fish on!!!!!!!!! |
