Anyone tried them both? After a couple years, my 1200 yard spool of their "performance braid" is about empty. I have been extremely happy with it and was about to buy another, but then I saw this new "832" business. I'll be using +-30lb, as backing on my smaller surf reels and mainline on my bay stuff, if that changes anyone's opinion.

I have used a lot of different braids, for the last 4+ years been using sufix in 10-65lb. test, used power pro before that, then tried sufix, was hooked instantly. Respooled all my reel with sufix and wont settle for anything else, that's just my opinion

Ive used both have only used the 832 for about half a year and love it. It seems to be a little better handeling line than the performance braid. I did do one accidental test I was practice casting some 832 in a field and wanted to try a different weight of course i didnt bring any line cutting equipment so i found the sharpest rock i could find and went to work it actually took several passes to finally cut the line i was surprised. Any way it has remained colorfast and very supple I am slowly making the change from performance to the 832. Oh and I run some of it on bigger bait rods in the surf with just a 15ft mono shockleader havent had any problems.
