Hey guys, I'm pretty new to fishing so I had a few questions about red tide. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wanted to go fishing in the morning, but I'm wondering if its a good idea? Is it worth it? Or is it better to just stay home and wait for it to go away? If I did go would I only want to catch and release? I just hear its here or it there. I'm just lost and don't know much about it. Again any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a alot every one.

To fish or not to fish? That IS the question. I wouldn't go out in a red tide. However, I would scout my regular areas to see how they were affected. Maybe take a pole and some arties just for a quick wade.

there are definitely fish to catch if you go lookin. some of the bays are producing and the reds were pretty thick at bob hall today some big ones in schools. big 30+ pound black drum was hooked too
if they are alive its supposed to be okay to eat them but dont eat any dead fish no matter how fresh they look...
i haven't been eating any fish..

Thank you all so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. I just went ahead and stayed in to. Thought I just sleep late and start watching football at 12! But damn ever time I have gone outside this morning it killed me!!! Weather was sooo beautiful. Oh well, I just hope next weekend will be as nice and the red tide we be close to gone!
