Found this guy this morning around the 5mm. First i've seen in all my years. I'm working on the fishing report and should have it up soon.

It's a badger. There are uncommon but do exist on Padre Island. Bummer that he bit the dust. Check out the huge front claws on that guy and you'll see it's not a raccoon without a tail

I have seen a lot of badger holes dug behind the dunes and was told they were badger holes particularly around the dune field around the 41 but that is the first I have seen of one. Too bad he was room temperature Embarassed
