7.5lbs 27.5" Caught fishing with Captain Billy Sandifer and released to fight another day!

Lots of Skipjacks, some smaller trout, and a redfish and a spanish mackerel. Lost my She Dog to a Blacktip I thought might be a bull red or a tarpon. I was wrong Smile Bad ledges at the 40 and at the jetty. Water should go to the dunes this weekend.

Very nice! I was at the 19 and saw you guys go by. Water was a little rougher than I thought it would be, especially with the lack of wind. I finally headed in at 10 and that AC sure felt good in the truck.

Look at the big strong wide tail.
So much to be seen in that picture.
Very cool fresh fishing license report.
Gracias,
Damo

no sand trout, just a typical trophy surf trout, always lacking spots for some reason...Truly amazing fish Tyler, those big surf trout don't get the gratitude they deserve in my opinion...that's equivalent to a 30+ in the bay in my book, some disagree, but that's why I said in my bood Very Happy Looks like she was sitting in that hole in between 2 pinches, probably been there for days and she ate the wrong mullet this time.

Yeah she does look silver there but believe me she had a dark green back with plenty of spots when she hit and missed and hit again in two feet of water. Actually got a little buck fever with her. Billy lost what he thought was a ten pounder. I saw one about her size in front of me and saw another one follow up my lure that looked to be about the same size. Awesome stuff!

I lost one in the highbanks in early august that would've been a record for me for the surf. I paniced and made the drag too loose, so stupid considering I had caught 10 trout already so the drag was obviously right, my theory is after panicing and loosening the drag so much a perch could've pulled it there wasn't enough tension to keep the hook in while she was shaking that head all over the place. Still think about it constantly and it's been a month. Caught a red right after she spit it, it was like torture thinking "no way she hit it again"
