| Got to the beach late Friday, camped at 3MM and the water was stained with some weed. Caught some hardheads, 1 bull red, & some whiting. Next day caught 1 stingray, 1 20" trout, 1 26" blacktip, more whiting & hardheads with more weed. Sunday there was so much weed it was hard to fish, but managed one 15lb jack & 2 small blacktips. Water continued to clear up everyday. Had a great time with the family only problem was the park rangers. They would speed through all the camps at 40 to 50 mph with kids including mine running around while everyone on the beach seemed to be driving the speed limit. They, the park rangers, need to stop that before they kill someone. |

Man,thats too bad they are speeding through crowded areas. Wierd. Good job on catching a few fish, too bad you couldn't move south when you needed to. But, family time is more important. Combining the two is better than either alone, even without an epic catch I reckon. _________________ Fish hard. You never know when you'll make you last trip south. |

| It isn't weird. Joe Escotto was a bean counter for the navy for 20 years before he went to the park service. It didn't say what his function for the park service in Colorado was but it was for only 2 years when he got the job of supervisor of the park rangers of PINS. 2 years service does not qualify anyone to be supervisor and it shows. I've seen them racing down a crowded beach. It is only one on an ever growing list of malfunctions on PINS sense Escotto arrived 3 years ago. Sad thing. Even if they kill someone, it will not change as long as Escotto is there. L |

I gotta agree w/ Larry. Nothing strange about rangers/turtle patrollers speeding down the beach. Happens every day. It's hard to convince park visitors to follow the rules when those paid to enforce them rarely do. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |
