Saturday produced alot of kings in my opinion. I hooked up first around 1pm. Estimated around 50-55inches after a 300yrd drag run and a long wind back in. I had the massive king along side the pier for gaffing and the hook pulled out! After that 4 kings were landed by other anglers and the reds were relentless hitting live baits only. The baits of choice for kings were blue runners and Thread Fins. Red baits were mullet and perch.

Sunday i arrived at 6am blue runner at 6:15 and King on at 6:30am right as the sun was coming up. Landed and went 44 inches at 22lbs. about 5 minutes later another king landed next to me. Went about 40inches. Reds the rest of the day with Cobia in the water once again but would not feed. Trout have been landed close to the surf lately on lures and live shrimp. Pup sharks have been a nuesence on the end!

Pup sharks ranged from 2ft to 3 1/2 ft. eating slide line baits and red baits on bottom.

The entire pier has been covered with bait the last week or so.....not sure exactly what they are but thier really small and in the millions. The small spanish have been there eating them all day. And the threadfins and bluerunners are off sabiki rigs.
