Kelle and I and Poppy headed to north of Packery for some early surf trout action. We met RioFrio at 6am to find the conditions pretty much blown out. the 1.9 foot high tide didn't help. The kind of day when the topwater lays on its side and beats you to the beach before you get the slack out of the line. I knew we were toast just looking at it and ten casts later Kelle was convinced too! The flags in town were barely blowing when we came in.

You have no idea how many Dawn Patrols I have made over the years to those same conditions. The flag at the bank on the corner of Park Road 22 and SH 361 - steady south to southeast clip, 15+. Flag at the new IBC bank in the Bluff on Waldron - limp... Evil or Very Mad

I feel you pain Brother....

I may save you the trip. Just returned from South Packery Jetties and the winds are howling, the surf is angry, the sargassum is flying out the channel, and the driving is getting powdery in places. Mad

Aww come on, they only get one day out of the year. You cant expect the flags to just sit there and hang slack. That's like making mom vacuum on mother's day.
