Fished this morning with a couple of buddies west of the ICW. The north wind was a little stronger than we figured it would be, so the water was pretty murky. We started out throwing topwaters, and had a few scattered blow-ups, but nothing consistent.

As the tide rolled in and the water became clearer, we switched to soft plastics on 1/4 oz. heads, and bounced the bottom. I fished the Reaction Strike diet jerk jr (which many of you have probably realized is my go-to lure) and hooked up on a fat 27" red on the second cast. Three casts later I hooked a little flounder followed by a few trout, and decided to head home to begin packing for Panama City Beach tomorrow Cool

This is the red that I caught:

17" trout:

For those of you who fish Reaction Strike, you may have noticed that they changed up their Holo Pink color a little. I'm a big fan of the new color, and it has worked great so far! Go get a pack yourself (they are REALLY cheap)!

Thanks for Reading,

JB

Nice pics. Those do look a little brighter than mine, but then again left my pink ones out for several weeks and they faded quite a bit, and they still work well. I know some guys that will actually leave certain color soft plastics in the sun to fade, especially pearls/whites/glows, purples, and pinks. I can't imagine it makes a terrible amount of difference, but hey ya never know?
