Went out to Wilson cut area and decided to brave the north winds for a few drifts on the kayak. As you can tell from the subject, no keepers. I did catch about fifty undersized redfish. The largest being about 19 3/4 inches. I was having so much fun in one spot catching little redfish I didn't move to find bigger ones. Ah well, next time.

if you are looking for a meal or meat haul, move to find bigger fish. if you are out for enjoyment, sometimes catching 40-50 undersized allows you to try different lures, presentation or style.
it's supposed to be FUN.

Sounds like a good time Will, sorry I couldn't join ya, already did my fishing earlier that morning. I'd take a few hours of undersized reds any day of the week.

I find fishing more fun since I started mainly catch and release. It doesn't matter if you catch small fish, big fish or fish somewhere in between it becomes fun just catching fish and trying out different lures and techniques.

Oh I did enjoy the time with all the fishes, and did use every lure in my bag to catch redfish (even a spoon). Everything works and the water was alive with fish everywhere.
The only problem is my wife REALLY enjoys the fish I bring home.
