Headed down to the PINs to do some fishing this weekend. Ended up with some good fishing and a nasty cold.. I got there about 11 on Friday and got myself setup. The blue were biting like crazy out of the surf. I had a couple of friends join me later and I had about 10 blues already. Once they showed up, the bite turned on. I caught a 25 inch red and a bunch more blues, and my friend Fitz picked up a 27.5 inch red as well. The blues and lady fish kept coming as well. During the night the cold front came in and brought with it a hard wind. Woke up with heavy surf. Fishing was horrible in the morning with a lot of weed. as the day went on the fishing got better and the surf calmed down. We paddled out a bait to try for a shark and not 20 mins later we had one. The first black tip came in at 42 inches. After I helped get him out of the water, my pole is going nuts. I get back to it and reel in a nice 36 inch red. He weighed in at 18 lbs. WE paddled another bait out and waited for more action. My pole goes nuts and I have something BIG on. My 12 surf rod was doubled over. I fight for a few mins and then it breaks my 150lb leader. frustrating. I get another run a little later and pull in a nice red. The next shark pole goes off. This one is big! We fight this one for about an hour and a half. We get him tailed and bring in a 64 inch black tip. That ended the day for us. Sunday morning came and the surf was ruff and I was feeling like garbage so we packed up and headed home. here are a few picks of the trip..

Nice work! Looks like a good reward for heading out in the colder weather this weekend!
