Just wanted to publicly say thank you to Tom and Jake for taking my Fiance and I hunting on there land in Lytle Texas all weekend. Although we did not shoot any hogs it was an awesome time with true southern hospitality. We did see many doe and buck just no hogs. I have never been invited into perfect strangers home to hunt there land, eat there food, and come with mutiple ar-15's!!! It was GREAT! Tom and Jake saw my post looking for hog hunts and we came to a great deal of an even trade, hog hunts for fishing trips! THANK YOU BOTH AGAIN!!!!

Hey Jeremy! I've been swamped lately and just now saw your post. I second the big thanks for this board. What a great way to meet good people.

To be fair, your fiance was within about 10 feet of a big hog, but it was before daylight on the way to the stand, and he was in some seriously dense brush. He got to about 8 ft away, I had my flashlight & she had her laser sights ready....when he spooked. That was CLOSE.

Anyway, we had a good time & we haven't given up. Let's give 'em another chance in Feb or March.

p.s. Jake came face to face with a BIG boar last night, but didn't pull the trigger. Good thing because he couldn't have gotten it loaded by himself & I was too tired to drive down there.

Yeah she was close then and also when her and I were on the first hunt there was a hog very close to us then too. She did finally get to shoot something... Last weekend she shot a little doe! She was a little upset at first but ultimately happy she finally got something! We have to get out fishing in the spring as well! As far as I remember the KingFish run through here in the spring.
