Just pulled in from PINS. We didn't go down far, around the 12. Ended up with 7 reds, 2 pomps and a couple of small blacktips. Driving was great all the way to about the 18 then it got rough, but not near as bad as it has been. You could drive 65 the whole way and sure enough there were a few idiots who did, right through our camp. I also managed to snag a rod and reel on my first cast. Let me know if anybody knows anyone who lost a combo this weekend on PINS around the 15.

one time years ago i pulled an old penn 209 with a little short rod out of the brownsville ship channel and after i got it cleaned up, i've caught more reds with that thing than any other rig i've ever had....you might have snagged your lucky rod and might wanna keep it.. Cool

I lost a rod and reel on saturday at about the 35. It was an old zebco surf spin rod with a gold spinning reel spooled with red line. I set it in the holder and turned around to talk to my buddy. when I turned back towards it all I seen was the pvc rod holder rolling in the surf. If anybody is lucky enough to find it I would like it back. It used to be my grandpa's. We limited out on reds on cut bait with a couple of drum and some whiting thrown for good measure.

This is a larger conventional reel.
