Got word today that a six foot gator was captured in a gill net set by TPWD in Nueces Bay.
Not suprising, but still kinda cool.

We were fishing at Powderhorn Bay last week and we saw 3 gators. One ate my fingermullet on an 8lb ultralight. I saw the gator come up behind my kayak checking me out when I saw my rod going down. When I jerked on the rod the gator went crazy and dove. I held the spool and broke him off because I didn't want him to pissed off or beside my kayak. After a minute he was back on top checking us out again so I took his pic.
