Skiff is loaded with tackle and a handful of sticks. Waiting for an hour of clear weather to bust out. _________________ Jeff

Was out this morning in the pouring rain. Had to cut the trip short and paddle back in a hurry, as I heard thunder approaching quickly. Didn't get a nibble early on soft plastics or live perch (full moon last night?), but as soon as it started to downpour I switched to topwaters and got a few small reds. Wind was changing directions left and right, but for a good hour it was moving steady out of the NW, churning up the water a bit. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Waiting to hear from Capt. Mike. Backyard had a BIG shower early this morning and hope his clients did not get soaked. _________________

a little rain is a good thing, even for paying customers. Im sure mike found the fish. besides, cool rain beats the 95 degree heat. if there wasnt lightning I would have been out all day in the ULM. And rain is not bad for fishing either. 2 of my 3 biggest trout ever have come in the rain. coincidence? well..yeah probably _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

A rain MUST damp or hide sounds made in the boat or the lap of waves on the hull, a win/win situation, not to mention totally screwing up the view of what's above the water................................. note that I said nothing about what's below the water, as in boat hulls, props, paddles, etc. _________________ Dave
