Took the kayak out at first light. Mosquitoes were biting and the fish were not. Fished till around ten o'clock catching a 24" trout and nothing else. Dead calm all morning and sat in a rain shower for about fifteen minutes. Was happy that the more severe storm past off to northeast. At ten o'clock I situated myself in about 2 1/2 feet of water off to the side of a number of sandpockets out in the middle of the flats and proceded to catch bunches of undersized reds and by twelve o'clock had also strung up three keepers from 22 to 24 inches. Went home. Good day on the water. _________________ WORK TO LIVE, LIVE TO FISH |

Did you talk to a guy who was heading out as you were heading in. My wife was with me in her yak with 2 dogs. Both of our yaks are dark green Ocean Kayaks (Speck and Malibu II).
We mostly went for a paddle but I made a few casts. No fish. Saw one red SHALLOW. Unfortunately he saw me about a second after I saw him. |

Yes that was me last Sunday. Trey Savage asked why I had not responded to your question. Sorry about that, need to check in more often. _________________ WORK TO LIVE, LIVE TO FISH |
