My friend and I went down to Baffin last night to do some night fishing and did really well. We stayed out there from 6 in the evening to 8 in the morning. we both came out with limits of drum. I caught a 34 in. and a 40 in. black drum on dead shrimp. They both put up a fight and the 40 in. pulled out my line 3 times!!! Here are some pics of the fish.

Here is the 34 in.

And here is the 40 in.

Nice fish! Glad you had a good time. Did you fish from a pier?

Good Stuff right there. I understand how much these guys pull, pull, and pull especially if you are in somewhat of deep water they want to dive into deep water. I fought a 30" Drum that would never want to come in and kept taking my 30lb test line over and over again. I can't imagine a 40" Shocked Bet you have sore arms bud. Thanks for the report and pics...

Thanks everyone. No I didn't fish from a pier, I was fishing at Site 55. And ya he did put up quite a fight. I was sore the next day. I was using 20 lb. test and he kept zig zaging around so I had to move my other poles. Very Happy

The last two drum are 24 and 26 inches long. The other ones ranged from 16 to 19 inches.
