I know there are a bunch of you all that are using game cameras and I would apperciate some feed back on what you think is the best camera for the money. I presently have a Remmington 6 megapixle infarerd camera that does OK, but I am not real happy with the range of the pictures. I get lots of pictures with nothing but my feeder showing, so I think the motion sensor must be triggering on something outside of the picture frame. Thanks for some feed back.

I use the moultrie game spy 4d. 4megapixels. Think it has a 50ft flash. I just picked up another one this past weekend at academy for 69.99 regular 99. It is super simple to use and the quality of the pics are really good. I like the flash on it, all my night pictures are clear as day. ive had mine for about 2 years without any problems. Buddy of mine has 4 and hasnt had any problems either. Other buddy uses the wildview's with infra flash. Pics are ok during the day imo and the night pics are crappy imo. the buddy using the 4 moultries picked up a cuddle back, now that one takes really nice pics day and night but it cost an arm and a leg. Id rather get a few moutlries then 1 cuddleback

I have several of the cuddeback captures, and they work very well. The $99 moultrie 4.0 regular flash is a good camera too, but is a horrible battery hog. The cuddebacks will take probably twice the number of photos on 2 fewer D batteries than the moultrie (moultrie = 6 D batteries, Cuddeback = 4 D batteries)

The cuddeback cost is around $200, but the photo quality is better, battery life is better, and they are easier to use.

at some point, with 2 D batteries costing almost $5 and battery life being double the moultrie, the camera will pay for itself.

whatever you do.... stay away from the moultrie infra red cameras. They are crap. They actually take decent photos, and have good battery life... they just break after anywhere from 3 months to a year in use.

there are threads all over the internet about these cameras crapping out (LCD screen goes out), I went through almost 10 of them before I finally threw in the towell on them.

I'm also shopping for one,my brother has two of the Remington,same thing I believe he said he pay 59.00,but again a hog on batteries I was wondering if you have 6 d batteries,would a small 12volt battery work with a solar panel? has anybody experiment with that.
