--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A buddy and I hit the water yesterday. We were heading to our spot and on the way noticed a large amount of fish in the flats. 1-2' deep. At first we saw several schools of drum and lots of sheepies scattered around. Then the reds showed up. We had no problem limiting on the reds all sight casted. They were a little finicky but you could drift right up to them and chunk a plastic in front of them and they would hit it. After we caught our limit we found some large schools and they were hungry and would hammer it the second your lure hit the water. There were monster trout all over hanging with the reds and they all had lock jaw. I saw more trout over 25" than I have seen in my entire life. Well over 100 of them. I would say 20 of them were a good 30" and we threw everything at them and not one ever seemed interested. I wish I had my camera with me it was an amazing sight. I have pics the of the reds on my phone but can't send them to my e-mail for some reason. I'll keep trying and will post em if I can get it to work. |

Dude...it's January 1st, not April 1st. You may have to give out the coordinates so me and a hundred of my friends can go check it out for ourselves. _________________ Longhorn |

I've never seen that many reds in one place and never seen trout that big. Where were you exactly? Longitude and latitude would do.

| Twenty trout over 30". You really need to give a few more hints than you have. Not location, no none would ask for that realistically, but just a little more information - depth nearby, water temperature, bottom stucture, you know. OK GPS coordinates, time of day, etc.....did I say GPS coordinates? |
