Well, hunt 2 ended late Friday night, and I was up bright and early Saturday morning washing laundry and re-packing. Man I was tired. 2 friends and I left Saturday afternoon for Rocksprings and 3 days of hunting hog, aoudad and deer. Went to bed kinda late cause we were sitting around deer camp telling lies so after the pheasant hunting, 1800 mile drive(total) and 20+ miles of walking in the snow, I was REALLY tired for the Sunday morning hunt. Had a nice hog under one of the feeders I could see from my tripod about 200 yds out but the sun wasn't up and the fog out there was ridiculously thick. I thought about taking the shot but I could barely make him out and he wouldn't sit still. We found out later my buddies uncle had changed the feeder timer so it never went off, it was set for 10:30am. Geez. Guessing the hog never slowed down because there wasn't any corn on the ground. DANGIT! He was there for about a minute, maybe, and then disappeared into the fog. Figured since I didn't spook him maybe he would be back that evening or for the Mon morning hunt so I changed locations to get closer and a better view of that specific feeder and put some corn out. Sat there Sunday night and Monday morning(which was even harder to get out of bed for) and it wasn't meant to be. Saw plenty of doe but they were kinda on the small side and I already have 2 in the freezer so I don't need anymore, let em walk. My friends also saw hog the first morning but they didn't get shots either. Sunday night for them was same story, doe but nothing worthwhile. No bucks or aoudad sighted all weekend. Monday morning however was a different story for my friend that owns the property. He had a little group of 12 or so hog come down the hill to his feeder. 25-06 rang out, she ran about 30 yds and he had a nice 80 or so pound piggy on the ground. Tasty tasty size. Cleaned her up, had b-fast and headed back to SA for some much needed sleep and muscle recovery.
All in all I've had a great few weeks and some laughs and memories with good friends and family that will last me a lifetime, and more on the way. Thanks for letting me post.

Thanks for all three reports.. That sow looks a little poor in the pic.. I guess the cedar doesn't agree with her.... lol Sounds like you had alot of fun. You know you had a good time when you have to go back to work to get some rest....
