struck out this morning, but taking alittle advice from guys on this board, I went out again this afternoon at sunset, wading waist deep water in ULM. Lots of scattered big mullet flipping around, and some tail swirls. Right before the sun went down, got this guy on a dark green/white catch 2000. Mullet kept flipping for 2 hours, but not a single bit after this guy. Took about 20 feet of drag, and then rolled over and gave up. Didn't know what the hell it was when I was fighting him, didnt see the spots or the orange mouth till the last minute, thought it was a bluefish. The lure was hooked on the side of her face, and barely in her top lip. Didn't fit in the net, and didn't want to lose her so I walked her slow to the shore, and strung her up. Measured 30" on the dot, and with a stomach containing a 9 inch mullet and a couple of big shrimp, she prolly weighted aroundt 8 lbs but i can't say for sure.

nah, the way I see it is the pictures are enough for me, i dont have money to mount her right now. And that will be the last big trout I keep. I made the 30 in. milestone that I set for myself, now I can release all the brood stock I catch from here on out. Now that I said that, I'll never catch another fat trout Laughing
