Sorry about the pics I have a hard time with this site. Moderator please correct as you see fit. thanks-
Well where to start...hmm The other day I posted I had my sites set on a trout. I started my hunt today and it was a late start. Didn't get on the water till 2pm. The calm morning had turned to a nice breeze mid-afternoon. I didn't see the forecast for the afternoon so I opted not to drift where I wanted to because of the head wind on the way back. So I went to a hole I had luck on previous trips. 30 mins into it I get my personal best trout off my yak. 25.25" Not that big in length but dang was she fat.
Well on the stringer she goes. Time passes and no bites. I was fishing with shrimp and a mid-coast popping cork. (I am already getting a hard time about this - but I did try my arsenal of paddle tails, gulp, corky, and top water without any promising bumps on the line) I was thinking this fish is going back to the water. Then I catch this little 18"er.
No pic 3 is the maximum!
So thankfully for these 2 trout my lil'girl saved them. Last trip I caught she told me the red needed to go back to his little sister and his momma. So off the stringer they go. Revived and swam off.
I get back to my truck pull out a trash bag and start picking up. Get a little more of a load and pick up 2 tires, a side step, a kitchen sink, and carpet. Also the usual beer cans, bags, and lots of underwear (careful if you comment that these are your underwear because I will be forced to say the condition they were in. Laughing )
Well I always say I am gonna pick up at my launch site but don't take the time. So I let go of my biggest trout to live another day and picked up trash for a change. Lets see the Trash Fishing continue with a Part III and so on...who's next? I will take one movement forward than a million intentions.[img][/img]

"5", That is a beautiful thing you did. I was always taught as a Boy Scout to leave thing better than I found them. You have done that both with the trash and with the fish. I too, try to carry out more trash than I bring in. I was extremely proud of my two sons (age 5 and 2) when they picked up trash at Bird Island Basin and said to me "Daddy, we're making it pretty again."
Please keep up the good work. I would like to help the next time (and every time) I come down to visit.

My old Battalion's (24th Foward Support Battalion) motto was "With Deeds not Words!" I challenege all to live that way.
