...Ziacatcher called to tell me to post up Huge Jumbo shrimp for 3.50 a pd at the hatchery in the Bluff at the very end of Waldron rd. Today and tomorrow only. Gotta go get me some for that price, normally 8-$10 a pd for that size!

Why would he not be telling the truth. All you have to do is go look then make a remark. I think he is a truthful person myself. _________________ love to fish |

well then the boat is loosing money selling them for that price. Jumbos for me would be in the 15 count range. I say that because 6-8's and 9-12's are not going for 250 a lb anywhere. I take bluffers side. But 50 lbs from cpl sounds pretty good. They probably have a limit. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

I have bought large bags of jumbo shrimp also from people right off the boat for a really cheap price compared to their value and usually the people selling it are deck hands so they can care less about the expense of the shrimp boat. _________________ The Hardhead Whisperer |

Speaking of deck hands.
I'm from SA so I don't get to drive by the shrimp boats there in CC 'cept sometimes when I hit the surf. Are those boats the actual ones that head out shrimping or are they always docked there and have the goodies offloaded onto their deck?
If I wanted to buy some shrimp and if I was close to the boats, I would get it there. If I was in Flour Bluff and some one had it for a dollar more per pound, I would buy it in the Bluff. To each their own, I always say. |

| I just picked up 5lbs. for 17.50. The shrimp aren't giant but for 3.50 its well worth it. They are comparable to the 6.99/lb you can get at heb size wise. Its a good deal if you plan on having shrimp anytime soon. Jason Slocum |
