We headed down to pins this weekend to do some fishing.Quickly we all caught our limits of seaweed. but the real fun was spending time with all the family. Some times we all get caught up with the grinds of of every day life it good to know that we have a place to go like PINS to just let go and have some fun and to fish. We all are so luckily to have a place like PINS I've going there since I was four. I'm now 32 with to kids and they love it just as I do. I just thought that I would like to share that with you all. And what is up with all the seaweed will it every go away?
One thing we found in all the seaweed was hypodermic middles in all the seaweed (4) one thing you all should all be a where of more in portly if you have kids with you. |

Know what you taking about, spending Q-time with the family is always great ,my youngest turn 22 on the 14 of this month, having a BQ today for him, noting we enjoy more than going to the coast all together just to be out there fish or no fish just having Q-time, teach them how to fish and you would have to go fishing for them later, having two Grandduaghters 3 of age is so much fun,now having my first Grandson coming this month also, alreadly got him his Superman fishing rod and tackle box. |

Yep, the seaweed will go away. It is seasonal, an unfortunately plague the Texas coast in the spring. Normally its gone by Late April early May, but some years its reaaly heavy and lasts into August. It comes in from the Sargasso Sea. One of the things we used to do when I was a kid was take 5 gallon buckets out, and shake balls of seaweed out over them filled with water. Grab the seaweed that is still in the water, and intact. All kinds of coll little creatures for kids to discover, little tiny crabs, shrimp, sea-slugs, sea-cucumbers and even little tropical fish. _________________ GOBZA!!!

Thank goodness that the seaweed does always go away eventually..and for that quality time with the family, few things can ever beat that! _________________ Work hard to play harder!!!

| Angie and I headed down Fri. night despite the conditions. Hit the beach at sunup and drove to the 30mm. Never got out of the weed. Mid morning the clouds lifted and the water was green but choppy. On the back north we saw anchovies flying out of the water right on the beach, stopped and threw some lures and some free line bait, but nada. As bad as it was, it was still great spendin time with my wife on the beach. Can't wait for the next trip. Tom |

Several of us will be heading down on Friday, we will be driving on a low rising tide. Just wondering how the driving is, we should be camping in the 20's. Are the tides still to the dunes during high tide?
Thanks,
