Not even PINS and Sanford Amey can stop this....My older daughter who left me and fishing for the Jonas Bros had friends down and little Sis was undetermined at 9pm on fishing status with me. Hang with the big girls or fish with dad? As I dozed off watching the astros she came in and gave me the green light. She is glad she went and while dad did ok he got smoked by that hog. Nothing finer than to be the net man and be right next to an excited 10 year old. We were blessed today in lots of ways. The hook was barely hanging from a thin thin part of the lips and if it were me I would have lost it for sure. I think I just bought some insurance on a buddy for the next trip.

That's gonna be one of those times in your life that only the two of you will share. Way to go little troutslayer. When my kids are on the boat with me (good day or bad) I would not trade it for the world. All of the baseball, softball, football, basketball games and fishing are just little points in life that make it all worth living. Just to think that some dads don't do anything with their kids baffles me.

Both of my daughters have left the farm and they're not coming back. The times we fished and camped will always be some of the happiest times of my life. There will be a time (soon) when she'll always have something better to do. A great memory for both of you. Thanks for sharing that.
