Hey everybody,
I am new to the site and am just starting to get the hang of it.
My name is Zack and i am from Austin.
I am so used to fishing in Port Aransas but this time for my 14th b-day, i am going to Corpus Christi so, this time and have little knowlage about fishing here. Iwas told that a place called "the sticks" was producing fish. Also, i have got tips for fishing the packery jetties.
I know that many people are not willing to tell there "hot spots" but any tips will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
Zack. |

let me be the first to welcome you to the best forum ever! You;ll learn alot, I have. You gotta give us more to go on to help you find somewhere good to fish. Do you wade fish? Do you have a kayak? What kind of poles do you plan on using. For pier/jetty fishing its really kinda hit and miss lately for both the packery jetties and bob hall pier. There's about a million places to wade fish too so give us a little more info dude and I'm sure somebody will point you in the right direction. _________________ “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. both spots will produce fish and they are close together so if one place is not biting, try the other. looks like the jetty has been the best catching area lately. If i were you id net some mullet and buy some live shrimp and chunk that on a floating rig. be sure to have some single strand 40# wire for those toothy fish.
What do you fish for in Port A? _________________ -Mando |

Eight miles south of bob hall pier are the sticks, poles that devide a non vihicle beach, will some thing like that. My best and simple rig is a red fish leader with a egg sinker wieght. and make sure the water has movement. Learn to use a cast net and you will have termendous results at catching some huge fish and of course small ones. _________________ ''ONE LAST CAST''
