Finally got the pics emailed from the show on mother's day weekend. As you can tell from our goofy smiles, we were both pretty excited to get to spend a few minutes w/ one of the greatest song writers ever.

So were those mudbugs the other night. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Jealous of you hangin' with the king daddy of Texas music. Guy Clark is my hero when it comes to tunes. Lots of immitators, but nothing like the man.

I got into Guy's music when I was teaching in Rockport. My favorite "cassette" bit the dust and I haven't been able to find it on a CD. Great, great music. Loved listening to it while traveling from here to NM. to NM

I Tunes has a hundred and fifty songs by him. Check and see if it's on there. Down load to your computer and copy to CD.

Todd,
The show was really unique in that he and Verlon had no set list. They played a few they wanted, then lots of requests, and finished up w/ a few more. We got homegrown maters, desperados, la freeway, let him roll, magdalene, parking lot, texas 1947, tornado time in tx, and many others. He also played two new ones not yet available and they are awesome: Hemmingways whiskey and the guitar. Can't wait for the CD.

Zia,
Check Surf Club Records. They have a great selection of his stuff.

It's a shame Max has been playing Brewster St over the Surf Club. Did your folks see him in Old Town Spring several wks ago?

That night was awesome, it was good to see ya'll up here. We saw Max and Davin James at Puffabelly's the other night. Both were great shows. I can't wait to get back down there to hangout some more without having to prefish. Congrats again on getting to go backstage.
