Well it takes weeks of theories, then hiring someone, and then multiple plan b's tons of chains and lots of awww screw it just ram it.
Finally found these pics, and it was so memorable I thought Id post it. We did this last year before temps started gettin low.
We had grand visions of raising a 20X40 cabin on poles, knocking out the old foam, and then floating in 3 new pontoons of floats each 40 ft long..... WRONG!!!!!! What happpens is you raise one side and then it almost breaks the cabin in half, and you think of new plans quickly. Then when you cant chain fall them in, you fire up a 24' majek with 200 something hp, and ram then into submission. Fiberglass fly's chains and straps break, and you you just sit back and watch. I beleive it was Kratz?? my buddyy who owns the cabin hired, and I have to say he really thinks on the fly, and that kind of work is not for the timid , because nothing goes right. In the end it worked out awesome, cabin sitting high and level, and your left battered and bruised.

I have never seen such a thing I did not know people were allowed to do that. Where do you anchor it? Are there regulations as to where you place them? That cabin is cool congrats. _________________ The Hardhead Whisperer |
