Beware, I had two rods and reels taken from my boat at Cove Harbor in Rockport this past Sunday. This is the second time in this area that I have had this happen. So keep an eye on your stuff. I guess all the low lifes are just looking anything they can get there hands on.

I had about $500 in rods and reels stolen while eating lunch at a restaurant in Rockport. Also had it happen at a Taqueria in CC and off my porch at my old apartment. Sucks that some folks have no respect for the property of others.

Roger that, my buddies truck was broken into a couple of years back downtown CC. Stole about 400$ in rod/reels. My buddies thought it would be a good idea to go bar hoping then go fishing.....turned out it wasnt a good idea. Now, nothing is left in the vehicle or boat. Sucks u cant even stop at the grocery store cuz u have to look out for ur things. If possible aways have someone wait in the truck. NEVER Leave things out u dont want taken. Fishing or hunting or anything for that matter.

It pretty much sucks that this kind of stuff goes on in C.C. I used to never think twice about leaving rods in the boat, back of the truck, etc. Over the years, that changes as the "once bitten twice shy" instinct took over. People have no respect for the property of others, kind of like laeving trash everywhere!

I heard aout the guy who got a new stereo and sound system. Couldn't even get a charity organization to come to his apartment and pick the old one up. So he packed it up in his pickup, tied it down, went to the grocery store.
Came out, problem solved, stereo gone. The kicker - he video taped the theft and had placed a note in the box saying that the video tape of the theft was being turned over to the District attorney. Sleep tight you bunch of theives.

Theives are A-holes. They know it. Never leave anything they can get their hands on anywhere, not even a cooler with just ice in it. They will get it just for the cooler. If you lose it it is your fault. The A-holes can't help it. They need their hands cut off so they can't do it again.

Just now reading this thead and committing about my incident. The day before dove season, I went to my back yard storage building to make ready my gear. Well the shotguns are gone. Everything else is in place exept the guns. Looked all over the house just in case but I really knew better. I had my dad's remington 1200 stored at my house, which was given to him by his father before he passed. Mine was a mossburg 500. Guess this post is a little late to let everyone know but if anyone hears anything... If I had posted sooner I might have learned about Dadrifter's sell. Oh well.
