Columbus Day morning around 11:15.... The weather was great, he was suppost to be catching bait.. 41.5" on dead shrimp.. Turned out to be a great day for a nice father and son adventure.. (Daniel 6yrs)

Thanks for all the good comments guys.. We were at the last entrance before you hit the National Seashore. Next to the wooden barriers.
Long story short...
I like taking him to packery jetties , and I'll always cast his line first.. The last TWO times we've gone, he's caught something WAYYYY too big to reel in. The Zebco reel broke the 1st time, the line snapped the 2nd time. I had to upgrade him to the Abu with 20lbs Power Pro.. Worked out great.. |
