I started out by Bob Hall and the water was almost as flat as the road.
The water was clear and I could see pony mullet cruising along the outside of the first bar. They did not seem to be in a hurry and I did not see any jumping. I drove all the way to the sticks and decided to drive down PINS for a look around. I saw this guy out in the middle of the afternoon.
There were pony and horse mullet just cruising around just like up north. I saw a few jumping around the 10MM and stopped there for a bit. I caught a couple of skipjacks on cut mullet and that was about it. I did have something hit a line but it went through the mono on the leader and took my bait and hook. I saw a couple more coyotes on the way out.
It was a nice afternoon to be out there but I probably should have gone dove hunting. |

Strongly suspect some A-holes have been feeding that young coyote near the 8. It got within 50 feet of C.H. on Thursday. I yelled and waved to try to drive it away, but all it did was lay down and watch us. Even threw a stick, which when it came to investigate I was afraid it would fetch.
We've had rabid coyotes on the island before, so it is a very bad thing to habituate them to people and then not be able to know if their "tame" behavior is benign or extremely omenous. _________________ The Trash Heap Has Spoken!

Portentous, as in in you're about to pay for that habituation with a series of painful and very expensive rabies vaccinations, at best. At worst, well, there's only one recorded case of a human surviving after showing rabies symptoms. _________________ The Trash Heap Has Spoken!

| We live in the big oak mott on the island. Coyotes are there all day. When a firetruck goes by with its siren on, they howl like crazy. |
