Buddy of mine down the ranch and I once put our thinking caps on and thought "If we could build a SUPER trap.... One big enough to catch a whole sounder (Herd) of hogs we could put a dent in them easier...."

Well....... I got pics on the phone this morning that it works...... REALLY GOOD Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

And as always KILL ALL PIGS!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Nice job. Cool Can you post a photo of the drop door?
I doubt very seriously that he even put a dent in just the ranch population. These things bred like rats!

That's not even a scratch in the population around where that trap is. But it makes us feel Good!!!

A .223 and .308 bolt action were they main firearms of choice in this mayhem Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

The door is really simple. It just hinges from the top and has a right triangle on each side with panel. the frame is about 30" tall but the gate is about 32-33" long so it sits at an angle with the triangles. That way the hogs can push it from the bottom into the trap and then it falls and catches them any other hogs following them.
