I was wanting to camp out on a spoil island this weekend by one of my fishing holes and set up lights to fish at night and was wondering if there are any laws permitting u to do that and if so what they are?

Its all legal as long as you are not on a protected bird next island. All of these should have plenty of signs stating this. Other than that, I believe you are safe. Not 100% sure, but that is the way I understand it.

Find Ya a beautiful spot and just stay there. Some restrictions apply such as barbed wire fences but out in the middle of the Bay or Beach it is OK. Or at least it is OK with me.

Pick an island with little or no vegetation. Otherwise, you may be visited by some creepy crawlers.

We would do that years ago during the drum run in Feb or March. We camped at an island on the intracostal just north of JFK. Would take our surf gear and fish all night. Great fun and we would often catch dozens of those big uglies. To my knowledge, it is still legal.

you can camp on any island that has a cabin on it....don't let them tell you different. They just have a permit for the cabin they don't own the spoil.

as long as there arent yellow signs saying that it is a nesting ground then it is safe.

not being a power boat owner,

if i had a boat with me, what would be the best way to anchor up and not have the boat get stuck or something else happen where you might loose the boat?
