Almost forgot I had a day off today (took a personal Holiday) to celebrate the Moon landing 40 yrs ago today!

Anyway the wife Dorothy wanted to fish so loaded up some jetty gear and took off to the Pack Jets after stopping for some live shrimp at Cosways first.
Got to the sand about 730 and had to use 4wd to make it to the rocks by the water. Very thick sand getting in there.

Only about 4 people on the whole jetty (nice) went 2/3 way down and fished the surf side with long rods with lemon rigs. Water was brown all on that side & nothing hitting. Switched to the channel side and water was a little greener on a in-coming tide.
Started getting small trout right away & several were catching some nice keepers. I eventually boxed 3 nice keeper trout.

CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT MY CAMERA! (thats not like me) Later Mrs Bluffer lost a nice spec and then blamed it on me. Then I lost one to along with a lemon rig! Then the bait-stealers showed up and quickly we ran out of live shrimp. (was fun while it lasted!)

So decided to leave there and get some more shrimp. Went to leave & stuck people all over the place. Pulled out a local kid that had 4x4 but his front axel wasnt engaging.
Then some tourists in a mini-van were in deep, pulled them out & said welcome to S.Tx!

Was getting past noon by then so just bought some dead shrimp & decided to work way back to the Bluff.
Went to packery park to try the channel there & at first entrance at east end was ANOTHER TRUCK STUCK! This guy said "Man I dont have any money" But I can give you some beer and a left-handed cigarrette!
told him didnt want the Pot (Dope days Over) but accepted 3 beers and pulled him out!

Didnt catch anything there, so decided to hit the Oso. Freak pulled up while we were at the turnaround and BS awhile. To hot & no shade so called it a day!

Hooked 3 fish
Hooked 3 vehicals.
Sorry no pics and long post,
Bluffer out.

Wed evening around 8, there was a truck pulling a 20' bayboat/trailer stuck in that sand along the jetty walkway. What the hell, aren't people thinkin..Must be the heat, na just some really stupid stuff.

Glad to here ya caught a few, seems the channel will always hold a few even in bad water.

Thanks to you they didn't have to call a wrecker. All in all it sounds like a pretty interesting day off, anyway the guys on the moon didn't catch any fish, weren't they playing golf or something?
