My buddy sold his boat but kept his outboard. He needed a way to store it but did not want to spend the cash on a store bought motor stand so I built one for him. It was not to fancy but got the job done. I used treated 2x4's and a 2x8 for the area where the motor hangs. The whole thing is held together with a boat load of 2.5" and 3" primeguard screws. We put casters on it so that he could move it around his storage when he need to. Fixed casters in the back and swivel casters up front. Here are a few pics

dang, howd yall get the motor off the boat and onto the stand? Manhandle or hydro lift? That thing has to weigh 400+ lbs. Stand looks perfect.

Thanks. Yeah the motor weighs around 440lbs. We used an engine hoist and it took a few trys to get it all figured out but we managed. We had to stop and think about it for a bit but in the end Bud Light and a bag of pickle flavored sunflower seeds helped us through it. Laughing
