wow...those greenies are incredibly misguided to say the least!

First off, the figures stated in the article indicate that there are more terdles now. So why ban fishing if the population is already increasing? Makes even less sense than banning fishing if the population was decreasing..

Interesting they published this in galveston and not corpus.

What evidence does donna "not a leg" shaver have that fishing is the greatest threat to terdles?

Next they will try to ban bay fishing because of that stupid terdle they found on north beach!

each time I think I have heard it all, there's more...

Donna and Joe both need to be transferred to California. I think they would fit in great with those nuts!

Hate to say it but you could send them up here to Austin , they would fit right in with the bunch of kooks, nuckleheads and tree huggers we have up here.

Austin is trying to be the next California.

In all fairness, it's not Shaver advocating closing recreational fishing in the Galveston Co. Daily News article, it's Carole Allen, the author.

Nutty idea, none-the-less...

I used to like them fried, but broke a tooth on the shells. Now I steam or grill them. Mr. Green

and I promise you that Donna brushed every bit of that nasty North Beach sand off those eggs collected from there and gently rubbed PINS closed beach sand on those eggs as quick as she got them back to the turtle-palace.

and to those of you calling for a vote, the NPS is NOT a democracy. the guidelines for visitor/park usage are set by the NPS and DOI, and the only thing we visitors can do about park management is hit it from the TOP DOWN.

go straight to Denver with your comments.

cant say I'm surprised. had a friend go to Hatteras last Sept., large areas of it was closed to the public acct of a bird.
all special and unique places have unique flora and fauna, there's zelots at all of them who want the public banned for whatever cause they deem important. if I was govenor of this state, I'd kick the feds out. states rights should trump.
