Choked me up just reading it.
What is really cool is that your Daughter got into it helping out others.
Great job raising your kids.

My wife is a special ed teacher and my daughter has helped in her classrooms since she was 5 so she is very comfortable around those kids. She didn't think anything about helping him and was clapping for him and giving him a high five.

That is the cool part!!!

When my kids were young and playing Little League baseball & softball, our LL had a Challenger's League. It was one night a week when parents would bring their disabled, autistic, or mentally retarded children to play baseball. We coaches, coached, did play-by-play over the loud speakers, pitched, and umpired. Our children were "Buddies". Each player had a buddy that helped them bat, run bases, and field the ball. All 3 of my kids were buddies and they looked forward to each Challenger game. They had their favorite players that they liked to help.

I had many parents come up to me and thank me for what we did. It was nice but what was really cool..... my kids learned a great deal about these kids and their lives. They learned how much they were all alike. They learned that they were just kids like themselves and not some freak to stare at or make fun of... And they learned how just a little bit of help goes a long way to making things better for others.

Your daughter has learned that too!!! That is really great!!!

cool beans.. .
that is how it use to be down on the peirs and such.. way back when..
some one never been fishing in there entire life and a good hearted fisherman lady in this case.. says here you go son and good luck..
then you are hooked for life.. for most of us it is burden hooked on fishing for the rest of our lives..
but being part of TPW youth hunt programs, Operation Orphans, NWTF. so geting youngsters from all walks of life out there and seeing there eyes open up and there jaw drop and that smile get so ever wide is one of the best feelings around..
so God bless you and your family for doing that and sharing. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy .
