Fished Hog Island Tues pm and Wednesday with only a few blowups
and one cut off on a nice Red
Thursday..found the slot Reds early inside the islands but close to big water for good high tide exchange. Wind 20-25mph all week..choppy but protected some what for good Redfish wind.
caught all Reds on cut menhaden, except one on gulp new penny shrimp...(running low on bait).
Thurs...24 inch Red, 21 inch Red and one 19.75 incher throw back, ouch
felt like Hank Hill. another 19 incher and several 18.5 incher
Friday..rewarded for being a Hank Hill...Reds..same spot
caught my limit as 21, 22, 23 inchers.
Saturday..same spot..2 more Reds...23 and 21 incher, 19 7/8 incher Red
Great trip..
total was 7 nice slot Reds, 2 keeper trout and
probably 7 Reds 18-19 7/8 inches throw backs
....tired and but not ready to leave those Reds
Dave
