Fished Sat. Not much on anything. No one else was catching much either - at least the people I talked too.

Told you guys before that area is full of pirates, flesh eating bacteria, sting rays and no fish. Everyone should just stay away from that area. On a side note Night Hawk has been holding tons of Bonefish, snook, tarpon, trout and reds with little to no fishing pressure. Laughing

I think the water inside Shamrock Island is off limits during some months out of the year? I read an article by Cpt. B. Sandifer in the Saltwater Angler I could be wrong I will check the magazine when I get home.

Ditto on the no fish. I waded Fish Pass Sunday morning and all I got to show for it is some of that swimmer's itch!

I think it's off limits to set foot on the island because it's a bird sanctuary. Even if you are aggy. Laughing

Lat -

Really? I had no idea. I was probaby 13 when we were fishing into the night around the bay. About 3 or 4 am, dad and I decided to head over to the island, pitch a tent, and get a couple hours of shut-eye before the morning fish. Had no idea it was illegal.

Ive been on some fish in Shamrock. Sand pockets are the key. Find the right set of ones and work em.

Stay away from the sand pockets. Forgot to mention this earlier. Quicksand! Many souls have been lost there.

Shamrock is one of my favorite places to fish. You have to know where the fish are and I rarely come outta there empty handed.
