Well I got tired of working on work stuff and couldn't sleep and with 15-20mph winds and 48 degrees temperatures, there was only one obvious thing to do: go throw lures at the end of the South Jetty
Despite the roughness of the channel (I got wet just walking out there!) and the slippery rocks, I got 4 trout 21-23 inches between 4 and 7am. 3 were caught on a 52 Mirrolure (silver sides, chartreuse back and belly with red head) and one was caught on a pink and green trout killer.
Sorry, I don't have a camera yet but plan to get one soon.
All the fish were caught at the end on the surf side passed where most people fish with there lemon rigs in the surf. That spot seems to hold fish.

| Plan on doing the same this weekend. Love getting out there visiting with the Winter Texans. Some of them guys are pretty hardcore this time of year. |
