Cowboy called for a BOAT trip Sunday so hell ya I say.
Met Zia at the Bluff landing ramp & got some tips on hitting Pita ect cuz live hog trout were just released there from live wiegh-in tourney that Sat. Idea

We got off to a late start to hopefully let it warm up some (never happend much) so took off around 11am...

1st stop SE side of Pita, several dinks there so we headed south to the KRS.
Stopped at the windmill & set up a drift south (wind was blowing straight out of the north) Throwing the Devil eye plastics in pink & the rootbeer color, Most larger fish caught on new penny gulps though.

Caught a few nice keepers there & Cowboy lost a nice big trout at the boat.

Zig-zag drifting with the wind all the way to Pure-oil channel & Cowboy caught a few more keepers. while I continued to catch & release.

Bite shutdown by pure-oil ch so we decided to head back north to the windmill. Man talk about a cold ride! heading into north wind at 35 mph
was damm cold. guess was still high 50 degrees (never warmed up)
Drifted there again & no bites, not even dinks this time.

Went back to Pita & same story. Called it a day.

Nice catch. It was cold, better than sitting at home wondering.
