| Sorry no pics this time, but I hit the water @ 6:30 to 34 degrees, a flat bay and numb toes. Waded to a flat adjacent to some rocks & a hole that is well known. Caught 3 good ones in the mid 20s on bone and pink corky fat boys, couple dinks too. Ice cold morning, no wind, great sunrise and good trout on the most relaxing lure to fish there is. Fish were shallower than I expected-holding in 3' over grass/scattered rocks. Water is still pretty warm, and extremely clear on the north banks. Saw several other good fish, hooked and lost one when I was sleeping watching the ducsk fly by. Lots of duck hunters blasting away this morning-they should've went fishin-it was good, well worth the cold! It looks like its gonna be a fun winter in Baffin! |
